Welcome To Etang De Beaney

Situated in the tranquil Champagne Ardennes region of France, just three and a half hours from Calais and near the village of Oconte, Etang De Beaney is a mature 12-acre gravel pit surrounded by lush, tree-lined banks.

Formerly known as La Fritterie and Etang De Bows, the lake is renowned for its impressive population of big carp. The lake holds around 200 large specimens. Boasting an average weight of 52lb during the autumn months. 25+ are over 60lb with the lake record being a common carp at 79lb.

The lake features 10 thoughtfully placed swims, two of which are designed specifically for wheelchair users, while others offer enough space for double occupancy. Anglers will find various attractive features throughout, such as a large plateau in the main bay, and several humps, bumps, bars, and gullies spread across the lake bed. With depths averaging between 9 to 12 feet depending on the season, the lake has a clean gravel and clay bottom, ideal for rig and bait presentation without the worry of weed.
